Manson Yew is the Manager of the NASA Engineering Network, the agency-wide knowledge management system for technical and engineering information. The NASA Engineering Network brought to NASA its first advanced semantic search across diverse technical repositories. It also hosts and disseminates NASA’s official Lessons Learned, and manages the Agency’s tacit knowledge through the communities of practice for NASA’s technical fellows. The NEN has earned the prestigious NASA Honors Award for its contributions to spaceflight knowledge management.

Mr Yew also serves in NASA’s Knowledge Management Program, and leads the architecture effort for NASA’s enterprise search, metadata management and controlled vocabulary. Previous positions held by Mr. Yew at NASA include the IT Manager for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the manager of JPL’s first and current center-wide data and document management system.
