Dr Salas currently advises private companies, universities and social non-governmental organisations to redefine and launch their organisational learning processes for indicatives of KM and innovation, and promote transformation into a knowledge economy.
Dr Salas was one of the founding members of PDVSA Knowledge Management Corporate Team at PDVSA 1998, (Petroleum de Venezuela, S.A.), the government oil conglomerate and one of the largest employers in Venezuela. Dr Salas outlined the operational steps to link executives with this new agenda and convert god ideas into actions.
Dr Salas has had numerous responsibilities in the areas of human, urban, community, and social development. She’s been part of teams that manage corporate transformational learning and culture, and organisational process-based projects. She has conceived, developed and implemented new business ideas through KM, intellectual capital and innovation.
Dr Salas was the coordinator of the five annual week long international conferences for KM and innovation in Venezuela with the proposal of facilitating an arena for sharing the tendencies, advances and best practices on KM and innovation implementation approaches.
She has a Doctorate degree in education at the George Washington University where she also carried out an MA in human development.
